To start our new topic "Forests everywhere" a tree surgeon came into school to talk to us about his job, how he cut down the trees, what he did with the wood and the special clothing he wore to keep him safe.

We all drew what we wanted our forests to look like, some children included birds and animals and we all decided we definitely wanted colour in our forests. The Tin Forest is a story we are using to started our topic and at the beginning the forest is grey. We thought of words to describe the forest and words to describe the colourful forest at the end of the story.
