Nyewood CE Infant School

Smiling, Caring and Learning Together on a Journey with God

We Remember.

This Monday, was 'poppy day'. The whole school created their own poppies to plant at the front of our school to show that we remember the fallen soldiers and thank them for their service. We held a minute silence during our worship. In class, we read an informative story that explained remembrance day so that the children could understand why it is so important.

This week in maths, we have been learning about 2D shapes. We learnt that 2D stands for two dimensional and that means the shapes are flat. We learnt all about the number of sides and corners and lengths of different shapes. Maybe you could go on a shape hunt around your house or at the park to see what shapes you find!
