Smiling, Caring and Learning Together on a Journey with God
Bonfire night & Rainbow theatre
We started the week on the 5th of November, and spent all day learning about bonfire night. We learnt the rhyme 'remember, remember the 5th of November' and why we remember it. The class were very interested in the story of Guy Fawkes and had lots of questions to ask. Throughout the day, the class made various different crafts for bonfire night like paper sparklers, bonfire collages, firework mark making. To end the day, we turned the lights off, got our paper sparklers out and watched a firework display in the classroom. It was a really fun day.
We have also started our new topic 'once upon a time' this week. We have been exploring some different traditional tales in writing and we started to retell our own version of Jack and the Beanstalk using actions and pictures. Today, we were very lucky to have a visit from the Rainbow Theatre who performed some different traditional tales for us. Everybody dressed up and had a terrific morning.
