Coin trail winners and a visit from the football club
Last week, we all took part in the school coin trail. We all went out onto the playground to make a trail of coins that the children had donated from home. It took a lot of teamwork. Our trail was soooo long that we reached the end of the playground and had to go all the way back again! Well done and thank you to all the families that donated your coins. Hawthorn class did in fact have the longest trail! So, this week, we celebrated with an afternoon of fun activities and some dancing. The class had a fun afternoon.
This Friday, we had a visit from the football club who put on a taster session for the whole class. We got to go out onto the field for some fun football drills. We played some different games and had lots of fun. Each child has been sent home with a flyer if they want to sign up for the football club that runs at school every Tuesday.
Unfortunately, this week we have said goodbye to Mrs Hills, who was helping in Hawthorn class for the last 6 weeks. We were very lucky to have her help in our class and she will definitely be missed by us all. She has now gone back to her role at St Anthony's school and will continue her training to become a teacher. We will make sure to stay in contact with Mrs Hills throughout the year.
