Nyewood CE Infant School

Smiling, Caring and Learning Together on a Journey with God

EAD week

For the last two weeks, the class have been working very hard to create some beautiful under-the-sea artwork. They have sculpted and painted a seaside clay ornament that can hang up at home. They also created a mixed media piece of art. They used a range of techniques such as collaging, watercolour, printing and oil pastels to create the background. Then they used different materials to create the sea creature embellishments. Both of their artworks will be available to purchase for a donation to the school at the summer fair this Saturday 22nd June!

The class have also worked really hard in maths this week, recapping their learning about money. They have all shown a good understanding of the coins and notes that we use.

In writing this week, we read 'The Day the Crayons Quit' and discussed the feelings that the crayons had.
