This week in Hawthorn Class has been very exciting!

On Monday, we had a visit from Zoolab. They brought in some different animals for us to meet. We saw a giant snail, a stick insect, a tarantula and a corn snake! Hawthorn Class were very brave and sensible. Some of us even held the animals!

We have been learning about fractions in maths this week. We have been been splitting numbers in half and quarters. In writing, we have finished writing our poems about the beach. The children shared their poems with each other.

On Thursday, we had the beach trip! Children completed their scavenger hunts in their groups and explored the rock pools, and created beautiful beach art. Everyone had a fantastic day at the beach.
