Smiling, Caring and Learning Together on a Journey with God

The World Around Us and Remembrance

This week has been bus journeys and Remembrance Day. Looking at our new topic 'The World Around Us'

In The Orchard this week we have been busy making buses. We have been looking at the different places in Bognor Regis that you can travel to by bus.

We have been learning about maps and making them for the bus driver to follow, using words like images and photographs.

When making the buses we have made different shaped window to help us remember our maths learning.

On Friday we had 'Poppy Day' We make poppies and talked about the different colours.

'Red ones are to say thank to the people.' - Mia

'Purple ones are for the animals, dogs, cats, rabbits.' - Harley

'White ones are to say thank you for peace which is quiet, no fighting.' - Kai.

As a class we made a big poppy out of all the things we could find in the classroom. We then had to tidy it up!

We hope you all have a nice weekend as we get ready to learn more about the world around us next week. Here's a clue 'Choo Choo Wooo Woo!'.
