Science Week...

This week in Apple Class...
We have been learning to use bar models in order to support our addition in mathematics, learning to use commas in a list and exclamation marks in our writing lessons and learning about Lent in RE.
On Thursday, we had a school science day, which coincided with National Science Week. We spent the day predicting, carrying out and recording experiments. One experiment was called "Milktastic Fun" which involved using washing-up liquid, food colouring and milk - the children will be able to tell you what happened! The second, called "The Legendary Volcano", involved water, bicarbonate of soda, washing-up liquid and vinegar... some messy fun on the playground. Finally, we were thinking about sinking and floating. We predicted whether some items from around the classroom would sink or float, then we tried them all out! We had a surprise finding with the ruler!
As a reminder - it is the Apple Class worship for parents on Tuesday! 915am - please enter via the office once you have dropped your children to class.
