Welcome back to school.  Hoepfully you have a nice half-term break.

We have been learning about position and direction in mathematics (turning clockwise, anti-clockwise, left and right) which ended up with us trying to locate some pirate treasure on a map.  In writing, we have begun learning about animals in preparation for our new topic "Creatures Great & Small."  In RE, we have been thinking about different types of prayers that we can say to enable us to build our own relationship with God.

Today, we had a visit from West Sussex Fire & Rescue.  They managed to show us how the hoses work (SOME of us might have got a little bit wet) and tell us about some of the equipment that they use.  They also gave us a little talk about fire safety and how to keep ourselves safe in the home, as well as at school and crossing the road.  We also were able to show that we knew how to call for help from the emergency services.
