It has been so exciting this week to hear our children talking about their experiences in the Woodland area.

"It is really fun, we saw a frog in the pond"

"We used a big saw to help us cut some wood."

"We went bug hunting."

We really value the time that our children spend in the woodland area as it offers many positives for not only their physical health, but also their mental well being and their creativity and imagination. Woodland play also involves an element of risk taking which helps children to develop their skills in assessing and managing risk.  This in turn promotes confidence and independence.
